    The life of Ian Burns

    Once upon a time in the Northern part of Great Britain more precisely in a little town between grassy hills in Scotland a little boy was born. The child was named, Ian Burns. At first nobody knew what to expect, he looked like every other little lump of gold. During Ian’s childhood he moved with his parents to Northern England where he grew up. During high school Ian did not know what he wanted to do with his life. But suddenly one day he ran into the Principal at his school. The Principal knew who Ian was because he was well- known by both the class-mates and the staff at the school. The Principal thought Ian would make a good actor and from this day on Ian thought that it would be interesting.
    At the end of the 70th decade Ian graduated from the Polytechnical School of Theatre in Manchester. The adventure for young Ian had just begun. Through the 80’s Ian acted in many plays but it was not enough for him, he wanted ”more” … he wanted to experience the world!
    In 1990 Ian suddenly got an opportunity and he moved to Denmark. Short time after he arrived he met the love of his life. You should not think things could get any better for Ian but after some years in Denmark he formed his own English speaking theatre company and became the manager.
    Ian now had the love of his live .. was acting … and was the boss of his own theatre company! Moreover, he got two lovely children!
    This was a realistic and authentic fairytale, and the protagonist is still alive… and we do hope he wil continuel acting in years to come and live happily ever after.

    Based on the interview Wednesday 23. Of January

    Ian Burns – Short article

    The way Scotsman Ian Burns originally came to the conclusion that he wanted to pursue theatre as a livelihood, was when a friend told him that he was a great story-teller and someone people really listened to, which ultimately meant that Ian pursued a career in theatre, which he does not seem to have regretted since.
    Ian therefore decided to go to drama-school which ended up in performing at three prestigious west-end productions, which then forced Ian to consider what he wanted to do with his life, fortunately leading him to Copenhagen where he soon will be performing in the production “Urban legends” at a Copenhagen theatre. Denmark was also the place where Ian met his wife, and thereby overcame the three challenges he had set for himself which was learning Danish, finding work and having children.
    Yet the move to Denmark was not without drama since Ian, when first coming to Denmark, decided to leave the theatre he had worked for, which luckily did not become detrimental to his career, since Ian then started a theatre company with work thereby secured for him. Ian can soon be seen in the play “Urban Legends” starting 7th of March 2008 at Krudttønden.

  3. The fairytale about Ian Burns: The Hero

    One upon a time there was a little boy called Ian. He lived in the quiet and nice suburb Leroybi in the kingdom Fantanesia. When he was six years old, he moved to a bigger city near the capital. This was a place with Fairies and elves, and they became his friends very quick. One would think that he was out of luck at this early moment in his life, because his father died and he had to move to a foreign kingdom with his mother. In the beginning this kingdom appeared as a place with harmony and very law-abiding people and creatures, but Ian soon experienced that there were witches and evil trolls too. Ian Fell in love with the princess of the kingdom after only five days, but then he was enchanted by an evil witch. She possessed sorcery and used a kind of magic that resulted in Ian grew horns and his faced turned green at the end of each day. He wanted the princess and the castle, and the witch said that the only way he could get this, was to learn the language, have some kids and find a job. He did not know how he would complete the witch’s demands, but the friendly elves helped him to get a job where he could tell stories to kids and entertain them in that way, while their parents were working. One of this evil trolls were working the same place as Ian did, but he learned to live with his annoying personality and just get the best of it. His loyal friend Birgitte helped Ian to learn the language faster, because she was a native – they practised every day! The evil troll came to see Ian one day at work. The troll challenged Ian to a fight, and after only a few seconds Ian fought the enormous troll to protect the children – and he won.
    Ian decided that he had to meet the princess again, if he was going to carry out the witch’s last demand and have some kids. That was the reason why he invited the princess to a horseback riding trip and a picnic on the meadow a sunset one day. The princess fell in love with Ian immediately, but Ian had to tell the princess about the enchantment. The princess accepted it, and after a few weeks they decided to get married. They moved in on the castle and got married after a couple of months, and at the day that they had their first child, the enchantment was annulled and they lived happily ever after.

  4. All in good fun… :

    The marvelous hooding of mr. Burns

    Not many a well kept secret
    Was so exposed as he;
    The settler in a promised land
    relentless (with no boss at hand)
    Now his talent suffer we!

    With the quick witted and engaged
    He looked the part and thus staged
    the performance of a life to be;
    fullfilled fortune, succes, fertility
    And sooooo visibly the heroe’s aged!

    His legacy is beyond proud,
    from out the crowd or a ghostlike cloud…
    To take part, laugh and cross that sea,
    To shape news and parts to be;
    To be hooded one must have bowed!

  5. just marvel(l)ous!!!

    THE PREGNANCY:

    it was a cold afternoon, we sat in the livingroom of the elderhouse.
    everyone was talking about the weekend whispering the rumors about us. Susi and Leo had been the entertainment and it had been rocking and rolling like crazy! as far as we remembered we were pretty drunk. and we woke up the next day in another mans bed, BOTH of us! it was in günthers room just down the hall, the night had been naughty, a freaky threesom!
    Now we had just came back from the bathroom and both gotten us a pregnancy test ! BOTH positive… :O :O
    we didn’t use a condom because we thought we were past our last period, but obviously we wasn’t.
    So now sitting in our livingroom with all the whispering people, we smiled, smiled at each other we were going to have children !
    we were just happy, now we have been pregnant for 2 months, and the time is flying! we can’t wait to give birth.

    The Ian Burns story

    Once upon a time there was a young man called Ian Burns. He lived in a country far far away and he was a very talented actor. One day, he decided, to go to another place to establish an English speaking theatre. The young attractive man came to a great country, a place different from any other place he had ever been before.
    The young Ian was impressed by the clean streets and the discipline of the people of this great nation; they obeyed the traffic signals even at night, even if there were no cars or people around!
    After only five days in the great country the young Ian met a beautiful girl and it was love at first sight, so when Ian saw her again, he held on to her.
    But there was an evil evil theatre producer, who would tear Ian and the love of his life apart and make Ian her slave. Throughout the years Ian had many challenges, most of them planned and carried out by the evil theatre producer, but Ian also had his struggles learning the language of the great nation and to find jobs, this of course was the evil theatre producer’s doing. Ian fought for a long time with the evil theatre producer and at last he decided to start his own theatre company to escape. And as Ian would like to say “Onwards and upwards”. He felt satisfied about his decision and blessed to have his talent, friends and humour. It appeared to him that all of these elements had helped him on his way to success.
    So now that Ian had established the theatre company and because of that overcomed the most of his challenges, he at last married the love of his life and they moved to a huge flat in the middle of the big city, where they had two children. And they lived happily ever after!

  9. I met Ian a long, long time ago in a galaxy far away. There are people in this short span we enjoy on the planet earth who need no fumbling chit-chat and small talk. You know immediately you meet them that “here is a soul-mate”. For me Ian, along with five other people, was one of them. Neither of us needed to impress the other. We knew that whatever time and space separated us, we’d be lifelong friends. I’m proud to call myself a “mate” and even prouder of Ian’s success, due to diligence, ambition, total commitment to his profession and the help of a beautiful Danish woman, Mette. Good luck to you both and keep the beacon of artistic endeavour Burnsing bright!! Loads of luck and love to you and Mette. Your OLD chum Don. XXX
